Our Camping Trip

We had a four family camping trip this weekend. It was Niki, Kirk and Kids, Natalie, Mike and Kids, Stephany and boys, and of course us and even Grandma and Grandpa came out for a night we had SOOO much fun. We went out on Friday after John came home from work and stayed until Sunday at lunch. Here is a run down on what we did.

Friday- We sat up camp, cooked supper and hung out by the campfire. Uncle Mike took the kids up to the park while we started cooking. We ate campfire pizzas and s'mores. We put the kids to bed and sat around the campfire until about midnight. We had a raccoon come out of the trees and say hi, but I moved my legs and scared it away.

Saturday- Mike and John had an early morning fishing trip. We had a pancake breakfast and the kids had a water fight. We ate sandwiches for lunch and then we spent some time at the beach. We then went to a conservation center and saw some things native to Iowa. Brandon and Amanda came out for a bit and we had a small birthday "party" for him. Then we had hamburger packets for supper. The kids did a craft and off to the pond for some more fishing. I think Kirra caught the most with 3. Then back to the campfire for some campfire pies. Then off to bed with another visit from a raccoon.

Sunday- We made an awesome breakfast with hash browns, gravy, bacon, sausage, ham, eggs, pancakes, toast. It was SOOOO good!! Then we packed up and went and saw Gramma and Beth, Andrew and Nathan.

I am Ready to go again.
